LSSU Athletic Communications
SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Last week, Lake Superior State Athletics Department unveiled the redesigned lssulakers.com. Below are a few comments from various individuals connected to Laker Athletics.
Thomas Coates: Executive Director, LSSU Foundation
"I really like the new look and feel of the new Laker Athletics Web-Site. "It's great to see the letterwinners prominently displayed on the site as I think it's important to recognize the accomplishments of our alumni. Of course, the attractive promotion of our LSSU Athletics fundraising opportunities appeals to me. Congratulation to AD David Paitson, Cullen Maksimowski and Hunter Perry for their work behind the scenes to elevate the exposure of our athletic program and LSSU in general. Well done!"
Damon Whitten: Head Coach , Lake Superior State Hockey
"It's a great new look for our department. Really clean and fan friendly and very social media savvy. It's big for us, we definitely needed an update and I think we'll definitely have more content pushed out with the new set up. It's a great place to get information. Cullen (Maksimowski), Hunter (Perry) and Dr. Paitson did great job and I know it was very big project, as you can imagine. Having that new look un place allows to focus in more on the marketing and ticket sales for our programs heading into the offseason. I think we're in a much healthier place as a department."
Matt Hodson : Associate Commissioner of Marketing & Communications , Western Collegiate Hockey Association
"Now more than ever, an athletic department's digital platforms are its true window. The new lssulakers.com is an inviting, engaging and dynamic look at Lakers Athletics. From striking imagery and easy navigation to the integration of social media feeds, LSSU's teams and student-athletes are accessible as never before. Congratulations to LSSU administration, coaches, players and, most importantly, its fans!"

Matt Pocket: Sports Director, Sovereign Communications
"It's a really smooth look. The new site preserves the same feeling as the last version, but modernizes and cleans it up a bit. I feel that everything I need as a broadcaster is just a click or two away, and the interactive pieces make it easy to be a Laker fan."
