SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich.—Lake Superior State men's basketball coach Steve Hettinga has announced the first member of the 2018-19 recruiting class with the signing of Justin Fischer to a National Letter of Intent.

Fischer, a 6-foot-4 guard, will join the program next season after finishing his senior campaign at Warren De La Salle Collegiate High School.

"We are very excited that Justin will be joining our family next year," said Hettinga. "From the first time I saw him play I knew he fit us like a glove.

"Justin comes from a family of good athletes and a dad who coaches.  He is truly a student of the game and somebody we expect will come in right away and make a great impact to our program.
