Laker move up two spots during Round 2 of GLIAC Championship

NASHPORT, Ohio - The Lake Superior State men's golf team improved its score by five strokes and moved up two spots during Saturday's second round of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships held at The Virtues Golf Club.

LSSU's Jason Kerr shot a 76 for the second straight day and is tied for 16th place at 152. Joe Ericson (78-75--153) is one stroke behind and tied for 19th, and Gavin MacIver (82-80--162) is tied for 49th.

Zac Carson (83-83--166) and Sam Eberts (83-83--166) are tied for 59th.

Grand Valley State's Domenic Mandrell (75-72--147), and Ferris State's Ben Cook (70-77-147) and Seth Terpstra (75-72--147) lead the tournament heading into Sunday's final round.

The Lakers moved up from 12th to 10th in the team standings.
