KENTWOOD, Mich. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) men's and women's swim and dive teams competed at the Don Kimble Invite this past weekend, placing 7th and 8th respectively.
Fedor Mironov (shined in the water, finishing as his team's top swimmer with top-3 placements in the 100 Y butterfly (3rd, 48.96), 50 Y freestyle (3rd, 21.03), and the 100 Y freestyle (2nd 45.51). Meanwhile, Dimitrij Mijailovic came away with four new personal bests in the 50 Y freestyle (23.24), 100 Y freestyle (49.87), the 50 Y butterfly (26.24), and the 100 Y butterfly (56.21).
On the women's side, Ivy Delo notched a pair of new personal records with times of 1:01.53 in the 100 Y freestyle and 2:21.34 in the 200 Y freestyle while Gabby Woodard set personal bests in the 500 Y freestyle (6:38.90) and the 200 Y breaststroke (3:10.79).
The Lakers return to action when they travel to Saginaw Valley State on Jan. 24.
