MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) swimming and diving program competed at Northern Michigan (NMU) on Saturday.
Fedor Mironov picked up a pair of medals on the day with a silver medal in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 22.69 as well as a gold medal for a first place finish in the 100-meter butterfly with a time of 49.13. His time of 28.69 in the 50-meter breaststroke was also good enough to set a new personal best.
Newcomer Mitar Sarkovic swam for a pair of silver medals in both the 100-meter freestyle and the 100-meter backstroke with respective times of 50.19 and 1:09.71. Meanwhile, Dimitrij Mijailovic earned third-place performances in both the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter freestyle with respective times of 24.38 and 51.46.
On the women's side, Gabby Woodard notched a pair of silver medals with respective times of 2:32.96 and 1:29.12 in the 200-meter freestyle and the 100-meter breaststroke, and Ivy Delo had two second-place performances in both the 50-meter freestyle and the 100-meter freestyle.
The Lakers will now turn their attention to the 2025 GLIAC Championship Meet, beginning Wednesday, February 19.
