Pleasant, Mich. in 2021… Competed in the Saginaw Valley Conference… Coached by his father, Brian Sponseller… Received the Cross Country Varsity Award in 2019 and 2020… Received the Track Varsity Award in 2018, 2019, and 2021… Named to the Saginaw Valley Conference All-Academic Team four years in a row… Served as cross country team captain as a junior and senior… Served as track team captain as a senior… Finished his high school career with personal best times of 2:20 in the 800 meter run, 5:10 in the 1600 meter run, 11:30 in the 3200 meter run and 18:35 in the 5k distance… Was a regional qualifier in the 4x800 meter relay.
Personal: Son of Brian and Jill Sponseller… Has one sister, Lilly… Member of National Honor Society, Business Professionals of American and MPHS Bass Fishing Team in high school… Competes in Bassmaster fishing tournaments around Michigan during the summer… Majoring in mechanical engineering.
