Biography

Freshman 2009-10: Appeared in 20 games andstarted 16 as the Lakers' No. 2 catcher. Committed only one errorand picked off three base stealers.

Earned Division 1 all-state honors in 2008 and made the All-BigNorth Conference First Team in 2009 while playing for Alpena HighSchool. Helped lead the Wildcats to a 34-6 record and state finalsappearance in 2008. Batted .245 as a junior and .360 as a senior,and stole 29 bases in 2009, breaking the school record set by hersister, Lisa, who was a three-year starting outfielder at GrandValley State. Daughter of Mike and Julie Preuss. Major:engineering.
