Women’s Basketball Prepares for GLIAC Road Games

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Lake Superior State women's basketball hits the road this week to face a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents.

Lake Superior State (6-12, 1-10 GLIAC) faces Northwood (8-11, 5-6 GLIAC) on Thursday at 6 p.m., followed by Saginaw Valley State (3-15, 3-8 GLIAC) on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Last Time on the Court

The Lakers' most recent action was on Saturday in a 62-46 road loss at Ferris State. Redshirt freshman guard Sadie DeWildt and junior forward Lexie Khon led the Lakers in points with nine. Junior guard Jenna Gregory led the team with 12 rebounds and DeWildt had a team-high five assists.

The Cardinals are on a five-game losing streak with the most recent defeat coming against Northwood by a 65-50 final.

Saginaw Valley is averaging 58.4 points per game and allow an average of 71.6. Their points leader is Abby Duffy, notching an average of 14.5 points per game on 42.8 percent shooting. Duffy also has the team-high in rebounds with 12.1 per game.
