ALLENDALE - Lake Superior State's Patrick Wright and Katie
Winiarski placed seventh in the triple jump Saturday at The
Big Meet hosted by Grand Valley State.
Wright had a distance of 13.43 meters (42-11 1/2) for the Laker
men, while Winiarski had a jump of 10.35 meters (33-11 1/2) for the
Laker women. LSSU's Jeremy Braman (12.39 meters) was 13th in
the men's triple jump.
Winiarski also tied for 10th in the women's high jump by
clearing 1.57 meters (5-1 3/4).
Mark List placed ninth among 60 competitors in the men's
5,000-meter run during Friday's opening day of competition. List
clocked a 15:35.57, while LSSU teammate Taylor Heath was 15th
in 15:40.82.
Other top-20 finishers for LSSU were Laura Lindsey, who was 17th
in the women's shot put (11.66 meters), and Jake Hoover, who was
19th in the men's 3,000-meter run (8:49.85).
