BOSTON, Mass. - Former Lake Superior State defenseman Zach
Trotman made his National Hockey League debut Saturday when he was
called up as a fill-in for the Boston Bruins.
Trotman saw 20 shifts and 16:41 of playing time during the
Bruins' 4-3 loss to Ottawa. He was re-assigned to the AHL's
Providence Bruins on Sunday.
The 6-3, 219-pound defenseman has played 23 games with
Providence this season. He has one goal and eight points, and a
plus-minus rating of +10. This is his second full season as a
professional. Trotman played for LSSU from 2009-12 and totaled
19-30--49. He ranked ninth in the Central Collegiate Hockey
Association in defenseman scoring during his junior season
(2011-12) after compiling 11-10--21.
