SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Lake Superior State University Athletics is proud to announce that the cumulative weighted grade point average for all student-athletes for the Fall 2020 semester is 3.28. 

The achievement highlights the continued improvement in the academic side of the student-athlete experience at Lake Superior State. During the 2019 fall semester, the Lake State student-athletes garnered a 3.278 weighted GPA.   

Women's tennis led all sports during the fall semester with a 3.635 GPA, followed by the varsity women's basketball team with a 3.583 GPA and men's hockey with a 3.457 GPA. 

In total, 11 of the 12 varsity programs garnered fall semester grade point averages of 3.0 or higher. 

On an individual level, 68 student-athletes were named to the Lake Superior State Dean's List as they recorded a GPA of 3.5 or higher with a minimum of 12 credit hours earned.
