SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - Four-time Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Champion and three-time NCAA All-American, Jenna Fleming, is set to return to the Lake Superior State (LSSU) track and field program as a volunteer assistant coach, as announced by head coach Matt Stith on Thursday.
"We are very excited to bring Jenna back to the program," said Stith. "As an all-time Laker great, she will be a fantastic resource for the student-athletes in our throwing group, who I'm confident will make great strides under her direction."
Fleming was a four-year standout in the women's javelin event for LSSU from 2021-24, receiving a gold medal in the event at the GLIAC Outdoor Championship Meet in each of her four seasons with the program. She would also qualify for the NCAA National Championships three times, receiving NCAA All-American honors each time. She also holds the school record for women's javelin with the top throw of her career that reached a distance of 47.59 meters at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic on April 14, 2024.
