Biography

Bernard Staten, a father of six children, joined theLSSU men’s basketball coaching staff in January, 2012. Statenpreviously coached youth basketball, football and baseball for 12years in the Gadsden and Huntsville, Ala., area while working as aproduct qualifications technician in engineering product R&Dfor Adtran, Inc., in Huntsville. He has an associates degree inelectrical engineering from Gadsden State Community College. Statenis currently pursuing an accounting degree at LSSU and workingtoward a CPA license.
