Chris Dinuzzo joined Lake Superior State's Track and Field teams as Throws Coach in August of 2026, as Head Coach Matt Stith continues adding specialty coaches to the staff.

Dinuzzo comes to LSSU after four years at Point Park Univerity in Pittsburgh, PA, where he worked as Volunteer Throws Coach. He also worked as a Graduate Assistant for a season, earning his Master's degree in Athletic Coaching and Administration. Point Park saw an outstanding run of success during his time on staff, with the team Men's Track and Field team sweeping the Mountain East Conference Championships in the Javelin during the 2025 season.

Prior to coaching at Point Park, Chris worked as the Sprints Coach and Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Chatham University in Pittsburgh during the 2021-22 season.

He earned a Bachelor's degree in Education and Public Policy from Penn State University, where he was recruited as a preferred walk-on to compete in the Javelin throw.

Chris remains an active competitor, throwing unattached at regional meets. He achieved a personal record in 2025.

Asked about his coaching philosophy, Chris said that, "Throwing's an individual sport that takes an entire team to do. My role is to give the student-athlete everything they need to do it themselves."

A native of Beaver, PA, Chris now resides in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
