Steph DelBosco joined the Lakers professionally in 2024 after a successful educational career with experience across a number of sports. A Sault Ste. Marie, ON native, she graduated from Lake Superior State University with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. She then received a Master's degree in Athletic Training from Michigan State University in 2024.

As an undergraduate student, she worked with the Laker hockey and men's basketball teams, an experience that played a pivotal role in her career choices.

During her years at Michigan State, DelBosco served as an MSAT student for the men's NCAA Division I hockey, football and women's volleyball teams. She also worked with the Big Ten Champion women's cross country team. In the summer of 2023, she also interned with Major League Baseball's Arizona Diamondbacks. She also spent time with the ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings after graduation.

At LSSU, Steph excelled as a Kinesiology student. "I loved the class sizes, professors, family environment, great culture, and small campus," she said about her student experience.
