Steven Tippenhauer joined Lake Superior State's Volleyball staff in July 2026 as Assistant Coach to Chelsea Cooke-Tripp. A native of Cincinnati, OH, Steve previously worked as Assistant Coach to the Women's and Men's Volleyball teams at Midway University in Kentucky.

While at Midway, he worked with 27 student-athletes and played a key role in recruitment. Steven also handled academic and gameday logistical support for both teams, in addition to data analysis and film breakdown duties.

Steven captained the Men's Volleyball team at Midway as a student-athlete, earning 2022 Mid-South Conference Champions of Character Team honors.
