Box Score BAY CITY - Lake Superior State seniors Tim VanOudheusden and
Ryan Kuhl were named to the 2009 All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference First Team.
It was the third straight all-league honor for Kuhl, a 6-8,
215-pound center from Rochester, Mich. He also made the first team
as a sophomore in 2006-07 and the second team in 2007-08.
VanOudheusden, a 6-4, 225-pound forward from Grand Rapids,
Mich., averages 18.3 points per game to rank second in the GLIAC in
scoring. He is ninth in the GLIAC in field-goal percentage at .519.
VanOudheusden has 1,344 career points to rank 14th on LSSU's
all-time scoring list.
Kuhl is ranked 13th in the league in scoring at 13.3 points per
game and seventh in field-goal percentage at .525. He has 1,498
points to rank 10th on LSSU's career scoring list. He is one of
only two Lakers to lead LSSU in rebounding for four straight
seasons.
VanOudheusden and Kuhl are both four-year starters. Together,
they led the Lakers to back-to-back GLIAC Tournament semifinal
appearances, LSSU's first 20-win season since 1995-96 and a school
record for GLIAC single-season wins.
