Box Score ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Lake Superior State's season ended Saturday
with a 6-0 loss at Michigan during Game 2 of the Central Collegiate
Hockey Association First-Round Playoffs.
LSSU was swept in the first round of the CCHA Playoffs for the
first time since 2006.
Michigan's Louie Caporusso netted three goals in the victory.
Carl Hagelin tallied two goals and Jeff Rohrkemper
one for the Wolverines (21-17-1). U-M is 4-1-0 in its last
five games.
Lake Superior State (15-18-5) and Michigan were 0-for-3 on
the power-play.
Brian Mahoney-Wilson had a total of 28 saves in 39:47 minutes of
play Saturday. During a 5-2 loss the previous night
he faced 43 shots for the second time this season.
Michigan's Shawn Hunwick, a junior, stopped a total of 28
shots in his first career shutout.
Senior goaltender Pat Inglis took over in net in the third
period Saturday and stopped all 12 shots he faced.
