Northwood's five, but the Timberwolves totaled 46 kills to LSSU's
31 to come away with a three-set volleyball victory Friday.
Northwood (6-7 overall, 4-4 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference) posted a .323 attack percentage to defeat Lake State,
25-20, 25-22, 25-16. Both teams totaled 14 attack errors and 35
digs.
Lindsay McLeod had five block assists, while Jeanna Radzinski
contributed four to lead the Lakers (3-9 overall, 2-6 GLIAC) in the
middle. Brittany Newberry finished with a team-high seven kills and
a .429 attack rate, while Emily Snyder and Radzinski added six
kills each. It was Snyder's first appearance of the season since
suffering a severe ankle sprain during training camp in August. She
is the Lakers' top-returner in kills.
Setters Marylou Drobish and Janelle Balkwill totaled 15 and 12
assists, respectively. Newberry led the Lakers in digs with nine,
while libero Katie Fitzpatrick had eight.
Sara Skornia totaled 13 kills and a .600 attack rate to lead NU.
Kristin Perschon followed with 10.
The Lakers play a non-conference match Saturday at Aquinas.
