GVSU (22-5 overall, 12-4 GLIAC), which is the No. 3 team in the
GLIAC, defeated LSSU, 28-26, 25-14, 25-16. GVSU, led by Betsy Ronda
with 13 kills, totaled 43 team kills to LSSU's 20.
Emily Snyder had six kills to lead Lake Superior State (4-23
overall, 1-15 GLIAC). LSSU totaled 12 team blocks to GVSU's five as
Gabrielle Olsen finished with two solo blocks and four block
assists. Meghan Drobish contributed 20 digs for the Lakers, while
MaryLou Drobish had 11 and Snyder 10.
Seniors Nikki Stratelak, Rochelle Donakowski and MaryLou
Drobish, and junior Katie Fitzpatrick made their final
appearance in Cooper Gym as the Lakers played their final home
match of the season. They close out the season Nov. 9-10 at
Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan.
