FAYETTE, Iowa - Lake Superior State lost both matches in three sets during Day 2 of competition at the Upper Iowa Fall Volleyball Classic.

The Lakers (2-2) lost to St. Cloud State, 25-19, 25-12, 25-22, and dropped a 25-17, 25-18, 25-15 decision to host Upper Iowa (4-0).

Senior Nikki Stratelak totaled eight kills and junior Katie Fitzpatrick had 15 digs to lead LSSU against St. Cloud State. Senior MaryLou Drobish compiled 13 assists and 10 digs.

Freshman Sydne McMullen and Stratelak had eight kills each, and junior Billie McLeod followed with five against UIU. Stratelag led LSSU in digs with 12, and freshman Julia Peterson had two block assists.

The Lakers play at the Grand Valley State Invitational next week.
