ALLENDALE - Lake Superior State finished 1-3 at the GVSU Fall Classic after losing 3-1 to Notre Dame College and 3-0 to Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday.

Freshmen Gaby Olsen and Sydne McMullen totaled 10 and nine kills, respectively, to lead the Lakers during a 25-20, 25-17, 17-25, 25-19 loss to Notre Dame College (1-6). Junior Chloe Balanda and senior Nikki Stratelak added eight kills each, while senior setter MaryLou Drobish had 36 assists and nine digs. Defensive specialists Katie Fitzpatrick, a junior, and Meghan Drobish, a sophomore, combined to total 17 digs. Olsen also had five block assists.

Olsen totaled nine kills, a .412 attack percentage and four block assists during a 25-16, 25-11, 25-21 loss to Wisconsin-Parkside (7-1). Stratelak added five kills and three block assists. MaryLou Drobish contributed 22 assists, while Meghan Drobish had 12 digs.

LSSU (3-5) plays host to Michigan Tech in its home opener at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14.
