SAULT STE. MARIE - Lake Superior State was left with a home series split in volleyball following Saturday's 3-1 loss to Ohio Dominican.

ODU (8-10 overall, 3-6 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) took advantage of LSSU's untimely serving and attacking mistakes, and claimed a 25-21, 18-25, 25-15, 25-22 victory.

Lauren Kraemer totaled 13 kills and Brianna Reder added 12 to lead the Panthers. Kraemer also had one solo block and seven block assists, and Taylor Foster added seven block assists.

Jen Marren of LSSU (1-12 overall, 1-8 GLIAC) led all attackers with 20 kills and a .400 attack percentage, but overall the Lakers totaled 29 attack errors to ODU's 14 and 13 service errors to the Panthers' seven.

Emily Snyder added 12 kills and Chloe Balanda had a .438 attack percentage for the Lakers. Janelle Nagy totaled 50 assists, and Meghan Drobish had 19 digs. Gaby Olsen led LSSU in blocks with one solo and three assists.

The Lakers play at Walsh on Oct. 18.
