ALLENDALE - Sixteenth-ranked Grand Valley State held onto its Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference North Division lead with Saturday's 25-16, 25-7, 25-13 victory over Lake Superior State.

Jen Marren totaled eight kills and Sydne McMullen added five to lead LSSU (4-19 overall, 2-14 GLIAC). Janelle Nagy finished with 18 assists and eight digs, and Meghan Drobish had 10 digs.

Sault Ste. Marie native Josie Werner, a redshirt freshman, led GVSU (24-3 overall, 15-1 GLIAC) with eight kills and an .800 attack percentage. Megan Schroeder followed with six kills.

LSSU will celebrate Senior Night when it plays host to Michigan Tech at 7 p.m. on Nov. 15.
