Box Score SAULT STE. MARIE - Senior outside hitter Emily Snyder was one
kill shy of her career best, but her 19-kill effort wasn't enough
to carry the Lake Superior State volleyball team past Wayne
State.
The Warriors improved to 6-6 overall and 3-1 in the Great Lakes
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with Saturday's 25-20, 25-22,
21-25, 25-19 victory. LSSU fell to 0-8 overall and 0-4 in the
GLIAC.
Snyder finished with 19 kills and a .324 attack percentage. She
also contributed eight digs and two block assists. Jen Marren and
Chloe Balanda followed with seven kills each, and Gaby Olsen had
six kills and a team-high four block assists. Janelle Nagy totaled
38 assists, and Meghan Drobish had a season-high 17 digs.
Kristen Bulkiewicz led Wayne State with 15 kills. The Warriors
also compiled 10 service aces to LSSU's three.
LSSU plays host to Saginaw Valley State at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
