SAULT STE. MARIE - No. 22-ranked Ferris State defeated Lake Superior State, 25-13, 25-10, 25-10, in a a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference volleyball match Friday at Bud Cooper Gymnasium.

Brooklyn Gerber totaled nine kills and a .444 attack percentage to lead LSSU (2-20 overall, 1-13 GLIAC). Janelle Nagy led in assists with 13, while Meghan Drobish had 14 digs.

Ferris State (17-5 overall, 14-1 GLIAC) totaled 13 team blocks to LSSU's none. Alexis Huntey led the Bulldogs in kill with eight, followed by Megan Vander Meer with seven.

FSU and No. 14 Grand Valley State currently share the league's best records. LSSU takes on GVSU at 3 p.m. Saturday. Drobish will be recognized prior to the contest.
