NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Lake Superior State men's basketball team opens the 2013-14 season at 4:45 p.m. CT today against Truman State. The Lakers are one of four teams competing in a four-team challenge involving teams from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Great Lakes Valley Conference and Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

The LSSU men play Truman State Friday and Maryville Saturday at Trevecca Nazarene.

TSU was picked to finish fourth and Maryville fifth in the GLVC West Division Pre-Season Poll. The Lakers, who were picked to finish third in the GLIAC North Division, are playing the Bulldogs and Saints for the first time in school history.
