Box Score HOUGHTON - Lake Superior State opened Saturday's Great Lakes
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference volleyball match with a
first-set victory, but Michigan Tech rallied back to win the next
three sets and take the match, 3-1.
MTU (11-16 overall, 7-10 GLIAC) doubled up on kills against LSSU
during the final two sets and claimed a 23-25, 25-22, 25-12, 25-16
victory.
Elizabeth Ballor and Jen Marren had eight kills each to lead the
Lakers (2-23 overall, 1-16 GLIAC). Brooklyn Gerber and Sydne
McMullen added six kills each, and McMullen posted a .400 attack
percentage.
Janelle Nagy finished with 33 assists, and Meghan Drobish
totaled 21 digs. Morgan Koziarz added 12 digs, and Nagy had 10.
Gerber and Ballor led in blocks with four each.
Kendall Ward, Lauren Emmert and Stephanie Dietrich had 13 kills
each for Michigan Tech.
LSSU concludes its season with a 3 p.m. home match Sunday
against Northwood.
