SAULT STE. MARIE - Lake Superior State closed its home volleyball schedule Saturday at Cooper Gymnasium with a 25-14, 25-17, 25-15 loss to Grand Valley State.

GVSU (14-12 overall, 8-7 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) posted an impressive team attack percentage of .324 to dominate the match. The Lakers' Staci Brower and Jillian Butsavich combined for 25 kills.

Amanda Reid totaled seven kills and Brooke Williams had five for LSSU (3-24 overall, 0-15 GLIAC). Justice Kjolhede led in digs with 15, and Madison Castle and Lauren Lukasik combined for 19 assists.

Lake Superior State travels to Northern Michigan on Nov. 11.
