DEEPHAVEN, Minn. – William Ahlrik (Tidaholm, Sweden) has been named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Ahlrik recorded a pair of goals for the Lakers, including the game-winner, in Saturday's 3-0 shutout victory over Stonehill to close out Great Lake State Weekend. First, he was able to push through the opening tally five minutes into the game from a scrum right in front of the net. He would later put his team up 3-0 after smacking in the rebound off of the pads of the Skyhawk goaltender. Ahlrik finished the weekend with five shots on goal and a +2 rating.
