SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Lake Superior State hockey opening weekend series against Michigan State will now be played on Friday, Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5 as opposed to the originally scheduled Saturday/Sunday dates, as announced by Head Coach Damon Whitten on Wednesday in response to the expedited changes to NCAA rules regarding when a program may compete in their first contest.

Puck drop on Friday, Oct. 4 will take place at 6:07 p.m., and puck drop for the Saturday contest will remain at 4:07 p.m.
