GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) men's basketball team (20-4, 11-3 GLIAC) pulled away in the second half to come away with a decisive 79-58 victory over the Davenport Panthers (5-17, 1-13 GLIAC) on Saturday.
The Panthers struck first, but the Lakers responded with a pair of buckets from Devin Womack (Ypsilanti, Mich.). Davenport was able to go back in front, but the Lakers continued to answer. The Lakers would then close out the game with runs of 8-0 and 10-0 to pull away and secure their 20th victory of the season.
Edmondson led the way offensively with 17 points with Womack not far behind with 14 points of his own. Meanwhile, Soper and Adam Harakow (Edmonton, Alta.) also scored in double-figures with 13 points each.
