Tyson Edmondson (Ypsilanti, Mich.), and
Kingsley Perkins (Ypsilanti, Mich.) being named to the All-GLIAC First Team while
Devin Womack (Ypsilanti, Mich.) was named to the All-GLIAC Second Team. Additionally, Soper and Perkins were named to the GLIAC All-Defensive Team with Soper having been selected as the GLIAC Defensive Player of the Year, as announced by the league office on Friday.
Hunter Soper
Soper has been selected as the 2025 GLIAC Defensive Player of the Year, marking the second consecutive year that the award has been won by an LSSU Laker. Soper, the six-time GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week, led the league in steals with 56 on the year while also finishing tied for second in blocks with 31. Soper's 7.1 rebounds per game was also the second most in the GLIAC and was one rebound shy of the league-lead in total rebounds at 219 while having played two less games.
His efforts on the defensive end of the floor also allowed him to open up his offensive game as well, creating several fast break opportunities for both himself and his teammates. Additionally, he averaged 11.5 points per game and dished out 70 assists on the season.
Tyson Edmondson
Edmondson has been named to the All-GLIAC First Team for the second consecutive season. He led the Lakers in scoring with 15.7 points per game to pace the league's second-leading offense in points per game, and he went on to join the LSSU 1,000-point club in the Lakers' victory over Ferris State on Jan. 30. His 83 made three-pointers were also the second-most in the GLIAC this season. In addition, he also recorded 138 rebounds, 73 assists, 34 steals, and a block.
Kingsley Perkins
Perkins, the 2024 GLIAC Defensive Player of the Year, had another strong season on both ends of the floor that resulted in him being named to the All-GLIAC First Team and All-Defensive Team for the second consecutive season. On the offensive side, he led the league in field goal percentage at .567 as his team's second-leading scorer at 13.1ppg while dishing out 66 assists, and his 68 offensive rebounds resulted in many second chance points for his team. Meanwhile, he also notched 22 steals and 25 blocks.
Devin Womack
Womack received the first All-GLIAC recognition of his career after orchestrating the league's second-leading offense from the point guard position. He averaged 10.8 points per game while shooting 40% from beyond the arc, and he was one of only four GLIAC players to record over 100 assists on the year.
