SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Lake Superior State (LSSU) hockey program has unveiled its full 2025-26 schedule, as announced by Head Coach Damon Whitten on Tuesday. In addition, season ticket packages for the 2025-26 season are available now for $265 for adults and $160 for children for a 16-game regular-season home schedule. All season packages include first round CCHA playoff tickets as well.
Single-game tickets will cost $17 for adults, $13 for seniors/military, and $9 for children with the exceptions of Superior Series games (Northern Michigan and Michigan Tech) which will cost $25 for adults/seniors/military and $12 for children.
The Lakers will open up their 2025-26 campaign when they travel to Boston, Mass. for a series against the Stonehill Skyhawks to be played at Warrior Arena, the practice facility of the NHL's Boston Bruins. LSSU will then return to the Soo for their home-opener against Lindenwood on Oct. 10-11.
The Lakers will then travel downstate to Plymouth, Mich. for a pair of exhibition contests against the U.S. National Team Development Program's Under-18 squad and the Simon Fraser Red Leafs before returning home to open up conference play against the Falcons of Bowling Green for Great Lake State Weekend.
The Lakers round out the October slate with a trip to Upstate New York to face off against the Clarkson Golden Knights on Oct. 31 before taking on Saint Lawrence the following day.
LSSU will then resume CCHA action on Nov. 7-8 when they travel to Minnesota to face the Bemidji State Beavers before hosting Minnesota State the following weekend. The Lakers will then travel downstate to Big Rapids to take on the Ferris State Bulldogs on Nov. 21-22 before returning home to battle Augustana a week later. LSSU closes out the 2025 portion of its league schedule on Dec. 5-6 at St. Thomas.
During the holiday break, LSSU will travel to Milwaukee, Wis. for their second appearance at the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off with a field of teams that also includes Boston College, defending national champions Western Michigan, and Wisconsin.
After the holiday break, the Lakers will resume CCHA play by battling for the Cappo Cup when they face the Northern Michigan Wildcats for a Saturday-Sunday series to open the New Year on Jan. 3-4, and they will return to the standard Friday-Saturday format for the remainder of the season afterwards.
After a bye week, LSSU will travel to the Buckeye State to face Bowling Green on Jan. 16-17, and they will follow that up with a matchup against the Tommies of St. Thomas in Sault Ste. Marie on Jan. 23-24. The Lakers will then close out January by traveling to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to battle the Augustana Vikings. The Lakers will then spend a week idle on a bye before a Valentine's Day Weekend home series against the Michigan Tech Huskies. LSSU will then travel over to Marquette to close out the Cappo Cup Series at Northern Michigan on Feb. 20-21 before closing out the regular season with a home series against Ferris State for a Thursday/Friday series on Feb. 26-27.
The first round of the CCHA Mason Cup Playoffs will take place on the weekend of March 6 with a best-of-three series. The Semifinals will take place on Saturday, March 14 with the Mason Cup Final on Friday, March 20, 2026. All Mason Cup Playoff games will be hosted by the higher seed.
