Junior (2025-26): Appeared and started in all 31 games for the Lakers... Averaged 30.5 minutes per game... Averaging 11.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.3 steals per game... Had at least four steals in 8 separate contests. 

Sophomore (2024-25): Appeared in 37 games for the Lakers, making a strong impact throughout the season. Recorded six assists in a game twice, most recently against Fanshawe on December 30th, 2024.

Freshman (2023-24): Played in 27 games in a reserve role during his first season with the Lakers. Despite limited minutes, he demonstrated significant potential, tallying six assists in two separate games. 

High School: Graduated From De La Salle in 2023... Made his mark on the storied Catholic League for Warren De la Salle High School, averaging 16 points and seven assists as a junior on his way to a 2022 MHSAA Division I state championship while leading his team in scoring with 18 points during the championship game... Hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to win a regional title in 2021.

"Nino is a proven winner in every way," said De la Salle Head Coach Djon Gjokaj in an article for the State Champs Sports Network after Carter-Smith committed to LSSU. "All that big game experience will translate well into college. He is a true point guard. He makes everyone around him better, and he defends at a high level. More than that though, he is an elite leader, the definition of a floor general and a competitor af the highest order."
