After departing LSSU, Hayes continued playing professionally in the ECHL, SPHL and FPHL (formerly the FHL). He also spent 21 games with Herner EV Miners in the German third division during the 2023-24 season.

Junior (2017-18): Made three appearances before turning professional with the Mississippi River Kings of the SPHL. Also appeared in 16 games with the Watertown Wolves of the FHL.

Sophomore (2016-17): Played in 16 games for the Lakers, tallying one goal.

Freshman (2015-16): Played 36 games, scoring three goals and tallying four assists for seven points... Was a +1 for the second consecutive game while assisting on the game-tying goal by Diego Cuglietta in a 2-2 tie to clinch the Cappo Cup season series against NMU (2/27) Recorded an assist during a 3-2 win at Alaska Anchorage (2/19)... Assisted on the goal by Renz during a 3-1 loss to No. 16 Bowling Green (1/8)...Scored the game-winning goal in a 4-2 victory at Michigan State (10/22)... Scored the game-winning goal and tallied an assist during a 4-0 win over Northern Michigan (10/17).

Prior to LSSU: Appeared in 54 games for the Fargo Force (USHL) and scored 5-4--9... In 2013-14 appeared in 51 games and racked up 6-3--9.
