Senior (2016-17): Captained Lake Superior State, scoring six goals with six assists in 35 games. A great penalty killer who scored three shorthanded goals during the season - 10/15/16 vs Michigan State (also the game-winner in a 7-3 Laker victory), 11/25/16 at Michigan in a 3-1 win, and 1/20/17 vs Alabama Huntsville in a 5-4 win. Blocked 22 shots.
Junior (2015-16): Ranked fifth on the team in scoring with five goals and eight assists in 40 games... Logged two assists for his third multi-point game this season during a 3-2 win at Alaska Anchorage (2/19)... Scored an empty net goal and assisted on the game-winning goal in a 3-0 victory over Brown at the Catamount Cup (12/30)... Scored a goal in a 6-2 loss against Michigan Tech (12/12)...Registered a goal and assisted on the game-winning goal in a 4-2 victory at Alaska (12/4)... Registered an assist in a 3-2 victory against Ferris State (11/28)... Scored a goal during a series opening victory over Bemidji State (11/20)...Scored a goal with under a minute left to force overtime during a 3-2 overtime loss to Arizona State (11/14)...Picked up an assist during a 3-2 loss against Arizona State (11/13)... Picked up an assist during a 6-3 loss at Northern Michigan (10/16)... Assisted on Gage Torrel’s first career goal in the Lakers’ only score against Michigan State in a 4-1 loss at the Ice Breaker Tournament (10/10).
Sophomore (2014-15): Notched the Lakers’ lone goal during a 1-1 tie against Alabama Huntsville (2/13)... Scored a shorthanded goal against Huntsville during a 3-1 loss at home (2/14)... Added an assist and was a +2 on the Lakers' top line in a 3-1 win at Bowling Green (1/23)... Finished the season with 4-6--10... Honored as the Lakers' Most Improved player after helping to improve a penalty kill, which was just over 70 percent through the first half of the season, to over 82 percent in the second half.
Freshman (2013-14): Scored his first unofficial goal as a Laker during LSSU’s 9-2 exhibition win over Laurentian (10/29)...Tallied his first collegiate point with the game-winning goal at Bowling Green (11/29). Picked up a goal and an assist against Northern Michigan while logging a +2 rating in the win (2/14). Was named WCHA Rookie of the Week following the NMU series... Followed up the Rookie of the Week award with an assist in the 3-2 win over Huntsville (Feb. 25)... Appeared in 31 games finishing with 2-2--4 GAP.
Prior to LSSU: Led the Grand Prairie Storm and ranked 10th in the Alberta Junior Hockey League in regular season scoring with 25-32—57 in 2012-13...Also totaled 1-3—4 in four playoff games...Played four seasons of junior hockey, including three with Grand Prairie where he compiled 46-76--122.
Personal: Son of Michael and Heather Correale... Brother, Dan, is a senior forward at New Hampshire... Cousins Alex Macleod (Michigan Tech) and Isaac Macleod (Boston College) both played Div. I hockey... A 2011 graduate of Prince George Secondary School.
