Recorded series sweeps against Alabama-Huntsville (10/1-2), Michigan State (10/14-15), Miami (10/27-28) and Alaska (3/2-3)...Totaled 34 saves during a 1-0 shutout victory over OSU (1/27) and 36 saves during a2-0 shutout victory over Alaska (3/2)... Freshman (2010-11): Stepped in for injured senior Brian Mahoney-Wilson and enjoyed a highly-acclaimed rookie season... Was a unanimous selection to the Central Collegiate Hockey Association All-Rookie Team, was named Laker Hockey’s Freshman of the Year and received the Terry McDermott Award for being LSSU’s outstanding freshman athlete... Ranked third in the CCHA in save percentage and eighth in goals-against... Ranked ninth nationally in save percentage (second-highest among rookies and No. 1 among freshman who played regularly)... His 2010-11 totals rank fifth on LSSU’s single-season saves list, fourth on the save percentage list and sixth on the goals-against average chart... He is also ranked fourth in all three categories on LSSU’s all-time single-season list of games against CCHA opponents... Recorded four shutouts, including back-to-back shutout victories over Ferris State (11/12-13)... Was named CCHA Goaltender of the Week following his performances against FSU and following back-to-back 1-1 ties and shootout victories over Bowling Green State... Totaled a season-high 48 saves during a 4-0 victory over Ohio State (3/4) during the first round of the CCHA Playoffs... Played a total of 102:59 scoreless minutes during two playoff victories over OSU, compiling the most consecutive scoreless minutes by a Laker goaltender in the playoffs since Blaine Lacher strung together three straight shutouts during the 1994 playoffs.
Prior to LSSU: Was a teammate of Laker rookie Colin Campbell of the Vaughan Vipers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League...In 2009-10, was named OJHL Goaltender of the Year after finishing 22-14-7 with a 2.84 goals-against average and .923 save percentage... Led the OJHL in minutes played and saves, and was second in save percentage, fifth in wins and sixth in goals-against.
