Biography

Junior (2012-13): Hisfirst goal as a Laker was the game-winning goal during a 3-1victory over Northern Michigan (12/15)...Also tallied thegame-winning goal during a 4-2 victory over Alaska (2/15)...Wasnamed Central Collegiate Hockey Association Defenseman of the Weekfollowing the Feb. 15-16 Alaska series...Led the Lakers in blockedshots with 98...Received the 2013 Jim Howie Unsung Hero Award.

Sophomore (2011-12): Animpressive shot-blocking tandem when paired with Andrew Perraultand led the Lakers in blocked shots with 89...Blocked 14 shotsduring a 4-3 victory over Miami (1/14)...Played against hisbrothers, Brett and Nick, during the Catamount Cup...Received the2012 Jim Howie Unsung Hero Award.

Freshman (2010-11):Appeared in 31 of 39 games...Recorded his first collegiate pointassisting on Rick Schofield’s game-winning goal during a 3-1victory over Northern Michigan (11/6)...Notched three of his fivepoints during a five-game stretch from Dec. 4 through Jan.15...Totaled 50 blocked shots.

Prior to LSSU: Was thefirst Nebraska native to play for the Lincoln Stars of the UnitedStates Hockey League...Contributed two goals and four assists whileserving as the Stars’ captain in 2009-10...Also played fourseasons with Shattuck-St. Mary’s.

Personal: Son of Rickand Mitzi Bruneteau...A 2008 Shattuck St. Mary'sgraduate...Planning to major in Exercise Science.
