Peter has the rare distinction of having competed for four different NCAA institutions. After spending a year at Ohio State, he came to LSSU for the 2024-15 season. He then transferred to NCAA Division III Adrian College, playing once during the 2015-16 season before transferring mid-year to NCAA Division III College of St. Scholastica. He again made a single appearance, but played in 17 games during 2016-17, his final year of college hockey.

Redshirt Sophomore (2014-15): Appeared in one game for the Lakers, stopping two shots in 11:44 of action against Alaska on 11/21/14.

Prior to LSSU: Megariotis was a back up goaltender for Ohio State University but appeared in no games for the Buckeyes. Last season he attended classes at LSSU but had to miss the season due to transfer rules. Prior to Ohio State, Megariotis played in 32 games for the Port Huron Falcons (NAHL) in 2011-12, with a 2.52 goals-against average and .905 save percentage and won the team's MVP, community service and fan favorite awards.Was named 2012 NAHL North Division Top Prospect goalie.
