Senior (2009-10): Named an assistant captain for the second year in a row, he posted six goals and nine assists for 15 points his senior season in 38 games played. Gysbers also blocked 35 shots. Two game-winning goals - one against Alaska on 11/20/09 in a 4-3 win, the next on 12/4/09 at Bowling Green in a 2-1 win.
Junior (2008-09):Â An Assistant Captain, Gysbers was named LSSU's Outstanding Defenseman for the second straight year and was ranked 11th in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association in points by a defenseman... Led the Lakers in power-play points with 2-9--11... Notched an assist in both games during LSSU's four-point home series with Bowling Green State (11/7-8)... Had multiple-point games against Robert Morris (0-2--2, 11/22), Harvard (1-1--2,12/27) and at BGSU (1/24)... Recorded an assist in both games at Northern Michigan (2/27-28)... Made the Badger Showdown All-Tournament Team... Was second on the team in blocked shots with 44.
Sophomore (2007-08): Was named LSSU's Outstanding Defenseman after leading Laker defensemen in scoring... Was named CCHA Defenseman of the Week after contributing totaling 1-3--4 and five blocked shots against Bowling Green State (1/11-12)... Also totaled 1-3--4 in a three-game CCHA First-Round playoff series at BGSU (3/7-9).
Freshman (2006-07): Shared the Soo Blueliners Outstanding Freshman Award with teammate Nathan Perkovich... Finished second among Laker rookies in points... Was fourth on the team overall in points during the CCHA Playoffs with 3-1--4 despite missing one of the seven games due to an injury... Earned his first two collegiate points during the Lakers' 7-6 overtime victory at Ohio State (10/14)... Scored his first career goal during a 3-2 overtime victory over Nebraska-Omaha (1/6)... Scored a goal in each game of the Lakers' three-game CCHA First-Round playoff series against Ferris State.
