Timo Time meant a good time in Sault Ste. Marie, as Timo Bakos provided steady, reliable performances for Lake Superior State. The son of German international Michael Bakos, who played 100 games for the German senior national team, Timo carved his own legacy during his time in the Soo. A staple in the Laker line charts, he excelled on the wing or playing up the middle offensively and defensively. After graduating from LSSU, he signed for the Nürnberg Ice Tigers of the DEL.

Senior (2024-25): Contested 34 games, scoring a 10-12-22 stat line... A reliable centerman capable of playing in all situations... Scored the opening goal - the game-winner - at NMU (11/8/24)... Sophomore (2022-23): Played in 33 games for the Lakers... Posted six goals and eight assists for 14 points... won 49.2 percent of his face-offs... Recorded the only successful attempt in the Lakers' shootout victory over Nebraska-Omaha (officially ruled a tie)... Scored the game-tying goal in the Lakers' shootout victory over Michigan Tech on Nov. 11... Had a career-best five-game points streak from Jan. 20-Feb. 3.

High School/Juniors: Played four seasons of junior hockey (2017-21) split between German junior leagues (DNL, Oberliga) and the United States Hockey League (USHL)....
