KINCHELOE - Lake Superior State's Brandon Vizina, Paul Dienes,
Brent Vizina and Nathan Stump all finished within three strokes of
each other during the first round of the LSSU Men's Golf
Invitational held Saturday at The Oaks at Kincheloe.
Brandon Vizina led the Lakers with a 40-39--79 and is tied for
38th overall. Dienes (43-37--80) is tied for 44th, while Brent
Vizina (42-39--81) and Stump (40-41--81) are tied for 51st. Mike
Caputo (46-39--85) is tied for 64th.
Non scorers for LSSU were Robert Perry (40-41--81), Andrew Doerr
(45-38--83) and Dan Scriba (43-45--88).
LSSU is 11th in the team standings with 321 points. Tiffin leads
the 13-team event with 296 points. Ohio Dominican's Kevin Hartoin,
Northwood's Ron Bonatz and Saginaw Valley State's Nate Kelly
had 71s for the day's best scores.
Round Two begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
