Rashaun Carroll, Lake Superior State overcame poor first-half
shooting and a seven-point halftime deficit to beat Ashland
64-56 Wednesday in Kates Gymnasium.

basketball record in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference to 3-3. They also avenged last year's overtime loss
at AU.

cut an eight-point Ashland lead to two points, 35-33. An Alex
Williams jumper eventually tied the score, 37-37. Williams also
canned a three-pointer for a 40-39 LSSU lead.

dunk and gme-tying Williams three-pointer seven minutes earlier
that gave LSSU the momentum it needed down the stretch.
