Box Score SAULT STE. MARIE - Lake Superior State spread the scoring among
10 players, including four who reached double figures, during
Wednesday's 89-55 men's basketball victory over Finlandia.
Derek Kinney and Cameron Metz scored 16 points each to lead the
Lakers (11-7), while Devin Daly added 12 and Rashaun Carroll had
10.
Nic Jobe totaled seven points and a team-leading 10
rebounds, and Alex Williams contributed nine points and eight
rebounds. Daly also compiled eight boards. Tony Harris and Williams
combined to total 11 assists.
LSSU shot 53.5 percent from the field for the game. The Lakers
built a 51-21 halftime lead by making 21-of-33 field-goal attempts
for 63.6 percent. They also made 6-of-16 three-point attempts and
7-of-14 free throws for the night. The Lakers out-rebounded
Finlandia, 51-25.
Jon Moore scored 13 points and Ben Coleman added 11 to lead the
Lions (4-15). Finlandia shot 33.9 percent from the field, including
5-of-24 from behind the arc, and made 12-of-17 free throws.
LSSU plays Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference North
Division leader Wayne State at 1 p.m. Saturday in Detroit.
