MIDLAND, Mich.- Lake Superior State dropped their third match in
a row this weekend in a defeat at the hands of Northwood. The
Lakers (9-10, 2-4 GLIAC) fell to the Timberwolves (7-3, 3-1 GLIAC)
by a score of 9-0 on Saturday (March 29).
The Lakers were met with skillful competition during the singles
matches. Northwood's singles players were able to take straight set
victories at all six positions.
In doubles it was a similar story as the fantastic tandem of Francis Nadeau and Grant Link (13-6 at doubles) saw their nine game losing
streak come to an end in an 8-3 loss at the hands of Samual
Walendowsky and Konstantin Zhukov.
The Lakers are back in action on Sunday as they travel to Wayne
State to round out their weekend road trip. Following the match
with Wayne State, the Lakers will have four straight home matches
over the next two weekends, each against conference opponents.
