HILLSDALE, Mich. - Lake Superior State men's basketball suffered a late collapse against Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe Hillsdale on Saturday afternoon, falling 82-80.

The loss hands the Lakers (12-4, 7-3 GLIAC) their second consecutive loss on the week after losing to Saginaw Valley State Thursday evening.

LSSU led by a much as 15 points with 7:27 remaining and 14 points with 5:31 left in the game, but an 11-2 run trimmed the Laker lead to 71-66 with 2:29 left to play. Zach Miller, who led all players with 24 points, scored nine points during the run to will the Chargers back into the game.

After Jordan Dasuqi put the Lakers up by six on 1-of-2 free throws made with 2:09 remaining, Miller scored 8-of-18 points during an 18-to-10 run by Hillsdale to close the game.

Senior Devin Daly led the Lakers with 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor and added seven rebounds.

Sophomore guard Akaemji Williams also broke the 20-point barrier for the Lakers, netting 21 points on 9-of-19 shooting and a team-high eight rebounds.

Kyle Cooper, the leading scorer in the GLIAC (23.7 points per game), scored 22 points and recorded 11 rebounds for a double-double.

The Lakers return home Thursday and Saturday to play Grand Valley State and Ferris State, respectively. Thursday's tilt is slated for 7:30 p.m. from Cooper Gymnasium and Saturday's game against the Bulldogs is scheduled to tip-off at 3 p.m.
