Taffy Abel Arena saw goals a-plenty in Lake Superior State's two-game series with Davenport. The Lakers dropped an 7-6 OT loss on Friday night, then pounded the Panthers 8-3 on Saturday.

Andrew Langford scored a hat trick on Friday with a goal in each period. He tallied his 17th, 18th and 19th goals of the season, then added two more strikes on Saturday. Langford's relentless offensive output drove the Lakers (10-14-2), while Chris Kavanugh also scored twice on Saturday. Seth Stock's sixth of the year came on Saturday, and it marked the game-winning tally.

Davenport (12-12-0) also got a Friday night hat trick, with Gabriel Olenzuk scoring in the first period, then adding back-to-back second period strikes.

LSSU put 45 shots on goal in Friday's game, then 52 on Saturday. Davenport changed goalies midway through the second contest, and each saw around a full-game's worth of pucks coming their way, showing Head Coach Steve Kaunisto's commitment to exciting, quality play.

Sean Piotrowicz stopped 20 shots for the Lakers in Friday's overtime game. Kaylan Campbell made 21 saves on Saturday.

LSSU faces Minnesota on Sunday at 11:30 AM at Taffy Abel Arena, then heads to Sault Sainte Marie, ON, Canada for a pair of showdowns with Sault College to wrap up the ACHA's regular season.
