Offensive rebounds by Kinney and Justin Williams led to free-throw opportunities for Lake Superior State. Hunt was 1-for-2 and Kinney sank both free throws for a 71-68 LSSU lead with 1:45 remaining. Williams scored on a put-back to put the Lakers ahead 73-70 with 1:05 to go.
