Box Score HOUGHTON, Mich. - The Lakers suffered a 2-1 loss Saturday
against Western Collegiate Hockey Association opponent Michigan
Tech.
The Lakers are 6-3-1 overall and 2-2-0 WCHA, and Michigan Tech
is 4-7-1 overall and 2-2-0 WCHA.
The Lakers were unable to score in first two periods of play and
were out-shot 24-5 during the second stanza. They scored their only
goal at 12:30 of the third period.
Michigan Tech opened its scoring at 1:40 of the first period
with a goal from Alex Petan. The Huskies took a 2-0 lead at 10:33
of the third. Ryan Furne's goal proved to be the game-winning goal
for the Huskies.
Andrew Dommett (4-1--5) scored the Lakers' goal and drew assists
from Andrew Perrault (1-1--2) and Garret Clemment
(1-5--6).
Senior netminder Kevin Kapalka (3-2-1) made 45 saves in the
loss. Jamie Phillips stopped 21 shots on goal.
LSSU went 0-for-6 and held the Huskies to 0-for-3.
